Lynne Upton is a granddaughter of James A. Gairdner founder of the Gairdner Foundation.  Lynne is a "native" British Columbian now living at Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island.   Her work career has included; travel agent, political consultant, event planner and, of course, raising children.  She has been active in numerous community events in Vancouver and Victoria.  Her volunteer board commitments include Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Gardens, Vancouver Neurological Centre, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Shawnigan Lake School, Royal and MacPherson Theatre Society and the Gairdner Foundation.
